I began supporting Liverpool in the late ‘70s; my earliest memory is of the 1978 European Cup Final, and Kenny Dalglish leaping over the advertising hoardings at Wembley, which seemed like the most exciting thing ever (and somehow impressed me more than the goal). I was then bought a Liverpool shirt, and it stuck from there
